18 x 16, “Vulnerable”2026

Knoxville, TN

This project explores the theme of vulnerability through found informational imagery. After researching and collecting photographs and diagrams from the Internet Archive and my university library, I identified visual connections that led me to develop vulnerability as the central theme.

I cropped, edited, and sequenced the images to create a visual narrative that explores vulnerability from multiple perspectives, allowing the reader to interpret the relationships between them. Through image placement, scale, and pacing, I guided the reader through the story without using words.

The final work became part of a collective book designed by my professor, Christopher Cote, bringing together the work of all 18 students in the class, each exploring a different theme through their own 16-page sequence.
