Ablaze, “Cybersigilism”2026

Knoxville, TN
2026
As a designer for Ablaze, a campus feminist magazine, I contributed to Issue VII by designing a two-page spread and collaborating with other designers on their layouts and cover design choices. My spread explored cybersigilism, a tattoo style characterized by intricate, abstract designs inspired by digital and futuristic imagery. I used the tattoo designs themselves as graphic elements, combining them with grunge textures and gothic typefaces to reflect the article’s subject matter. I also incorporated high-contrast, blue-tinted photography to connect my spread to the cyberpunk aesthetic established throughout the issue. This project allowed me to experiment with texture, typography, and imagery while contributing to a collaborative publication and its overall visual identity.
